It was one of the first varieties in female seeds that was launched in 2003 at the birth of Female Seeds. But Ferry began working on this strain in 1999, and the first batch he produced of this amazing strain was normal seed for another seedbottom variety. Years of experimenting with the original Brother Grimm C99 led to the creation of our own C99. The origins are hard to determine, but it was a long-flowering Sweet Tai landrace that was crossed with a short-flowering sativa. Most likely the Durban poison.

The current batch we sell has been back-crossed to stabilize genetics with two specially selected C99 phenotypes, a grapefruit and the legendary pineapple pheno. The result is the holy grail of cannabis strains, a fast-flowering sativa that has the taste and high of an exceptionally sweet Landrace sativa. A landrace that would normally bloom for up to half a year. But our C99 blooms in just 8 to 9 weeks. Our C99 has an unusually high CBD level for a sativa strain. It actually resulted in a new chemotype, CBD sativa.

The C99 does not stretch too much and grows like a dream, very strong. If you really want to maximize the yield, we recommend that you vegetate the C99 for four weeks. Outdoors, it expands above average during flowering and reaches a height of between 2 and 3 meters.

This C99 is a Sativa dominant hybrid and has 2 phenos. One is a bit more compact and the other one is expanding a bit more. The C99 forms a huge, candle-shaped bud with several smaller buds on lower branches. Everything is very dense and frosty with resin.

Refilling this grade or LST is no problem for the C99. It is also a good variety for outdoor painting in mid-October in temperate and warmer climates. The C99 is very resistant to mold due to its bud structure outdoors. Therefore, high humidity is no problem for the C99.

A phenotype has this wonderful grapefruit smell. The other phenotype has this legendary, coveted pineapple smell. Overall, a very nice balanced taste between fruity sweet and pleasantly sour. The high is a typical sativa; a warm, radiant, happy and uplifting effect. This high is long lasting and stimulates the mind and provides you with creative energy.
