The original Durban Poison by Dutch Passion is a classic outdoor and indoor variety, resistant enough to outdoor Growen in extreme northern / southern latitudes. She came to Holland from South Africa and was bred for many years through inbreeding in the 1970s. With each generation, the Durban Poison adapted better to the windy and rainy climate of northern Europe. During the breeding process, some unknown Indica hereditary traits were crossed with the Durban. The Durban may initially display broad indica-like leaves, but the pattern of growth leaves the Sativa dominance at the end with long flowers pierced by small sativa-like leaves.
The Durban Poison is ready to be eaten indoor after 8-9 weeks. Outdoors it can grow 2-3 meters high and the harvest takes place at the beginning of autumn. With enough room for the roots, the Durban develops strong side branches that carry the heavy, resinous flowers. The plant development, the crop appearance and an energizing and uplifting high are typically sativa-like. The Durban Poison has a spicy, slightly misty taste, with hints of anise, liquorice and cloves. The buds are often dark green and mold and pest resistant. Very strong and consistent with good yields.
